In the summer of 2020, nine volunteers from Kang Chiao International School gathered to serve a local church in Yulin, providing the children an online English tutoring program, offering lessons three times a week throughout the summer break. Originally, the program was supposed to end along with the break; however, all the volunteers found the experience touching and inspiring. Feedback from the children and social workers surprised us by how much our work matters. Recognizing the value and purpose of this volunteering program, we all believed the service is something worth our time and effort. What was originally proposed as a summer service then began to grow into a long-term program...

2020年暑假，九個康橋國際學校的同學一同開啟了暑期英語線上伴讀計畫，陪伴雲林麥寮教會的小朋友學英文。依照原本規畫，暑假結束前，志工們來到麥寮探視小朋友後，服務就要告一段落。但這次的會面，讓志工們看見了小朋友的需求! 偏鄉孩童學習資源匱乏，縱使有電腦、網路等硬體設備，但少了陪伴與指導，學什麼都困難。而一個暑假下來，志工們看見小朋友的改變，有的小朋友學習速度非常快，也有人從排斥到喜歡英文! 如果這樣的陪伴能夠繼續，相信效果一定更好! 於是他們決定，回學校號召更多志工，讓這個陪伴計畫無限期地延長下去....。
