Ling King 金靈
I’m currently an undergraduate at Northwestern University studying Economics. I founded Beyond Horizon Youth Volunteers back in high school, inspired by the rise of online schooling during COVID-19. What began as a small summer program with just 8 volunteers has since grown into a national organization of nearly 300 volunteers serving sites across the country. I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and am deeply grateful for each cohort of the exec team for sustaining and growing this project year after year. I look forward to continuing to support our mission and shaping Beyond Horizon’s future developments!
我目前就讀於美國西北大學經濟系。Beyond Horizon 青少年志工團是我在高中十年級暑假所創立的志工團，從最早僅僅8 位志工，經過大家多年來共同努力，目前已經拓展到近300位志工、服務全台十幾個據點。很感謝學弟妹們一屆屆的接續投入，讓這項有意義的計畫得以延續發展，不因志工們畢業而中斷。我依然很高興也很期待未來能持續陪伴並見證 Beyond Horizon 的成長與影響力的擴展。

Ryan Lin 林子翔
Hi! I am Ryan, a 12th-grade student at Kang Chiao International School. Since 9th grade, I have been passionate about rural education and wanted to contribute through concrete actions. Thanks to my sister's introduction, I joined Beyond Horizon and am now entering my fourth year of service! In addition to serving as the Executive Director, I am currently also serving at Miaoli Dashan School. Throughout this volunteering journey, I have learned how to teach younger students, developed skills in interacting with children, and gained the ability to explain complex English concepts simply and understandably. In the coming semester, I hope to serve and meet with even more students, helping them gain equal educational opportunities and grow healthy and happy.
哈囉哈囉～我是林子翔，來自康橋高中 12 年級。自從九年級，因為對偏鄉教育感興趣以及希望能夠透過實際行動來付出，在姊姊的介紹下，我加入了 BH 的行列，至今已經邁入第四年了！除了擔任總召外，我目前也在服務苗栗大山學堂。那裡的小朋友們對學習英文充滿了熱情與好奇，在這段服務過程中，我學會了如何教導比我年幼的學童，並掌握了與小朋友相處的技巧，更懂得如何將複雜的英文知識用簡單易懂的方式傳達給他們。我期許在新的學期裡自己也能夠服務及認識更多學童，幫助他們獲得更平等的教育機會，讓他們健康快樂地成長。

Angela Lin 林佳琪
Hello everyone! I am Angela Lin, a rising senior at Kang Chiao International School. I enjoy playing volleyball with my classmates and love exploring new restaurants and cafes. I joined BH in 10th Grade. At first, I simply saw teaching children as a meaningful form of volunteer work, but I didn’t expect this experience to have such a profound impact on my high school life. BH taught me to express my ideas with confidence and helped me realize that I have the ability to strive for more. This growth didn’t just happen during service, it quietly transformed my attitude and confidence toward academics as well. Looking ahead, I hope to continue contributing to BH, supporting more people, challenging myself, and continuing to grow along the way.
哈嘍大家好～我是林佳琪，目前就讀康橋國際學校十二年級。平常我喜歡和同學打排球，也喜歡到處探索還沒去過的的餐廳和咖啡廳。我在10年級時加入了BH。當初只是覺得教小朋友是一件很有意義的事，但沒想到這段經歷會深深影響我整個高中生活。BH教會我勇敢表達自己的想法，也讓我發現自己有能力做得更好。這樣的成長不僅出現在服務當中，也默默影響了我對學業的態度與自信心。未來，我希望能繼續在BH中貢獻自己的力量，陪伴更多人，一起挑戰自我，也不斷充實自己。

Aurora Liu 劉珮宸
Hi! I’m Aurora Liu! I’m currently a student at Dominican International School. I joined Beyond Horizon because I think having a basic English communication skills is a very important and helpful thing for anyone. We encounter people from different countries in our life and speaking English makes communication easier so we can form friendships. I hope to use my own abilities to help kids from rural areas to have the chance to connect with the world! Lastly, I’m honored to be a part of this club and look forward to working with everyone!
哈囉！我是劉珮宸 Aurora Liu！我目前是道明國際外僑學校的學生。我加入Beyond Horizon這個社團，是因為我認為具備基本英文能力是一件很重要且很有幫助的事，對任何人都是。生活中一定會遇到來自不同國家的人，而英文讓溝通更容易，然而友誼就能建立了。我希望用我的能力讓偏鄉的學童們也可以擁有這樣的機會去和世界的人接軌！最後，我很高興成為Beyond Horizon的一員並期待未來和大家的合作！
Amber Ho 何若瑀
Hi! I’m Amber (何若瑀), currently a student at Kang Chiao International School Linkou. Traveling around the world has always been one of my greatest passions. I find it incredibly rewarding to experience different cultures and learn things that aren’t taught in school. That’s also why I’m so glad to be a part of Beyond Horizon. Here, I can share my knowledge of foreign cultures and languages with students who need it. At the same time, I sincerely hope that our efforts can make a meaningful difference in their lives, providing them with more resources to explore and develop their strengths in the future. I’m truly looking forward to working with everyone at Beyond Horizon!
哈囉！我是何若瑀/Amber, 目前是林口康橋的學生。到世界各地旅行一直都是我的興趣之一。可以到不同的地方體驗當地的文化以及學到學校沒教的東西我覺得是一件很值得開心的一件事。這也是我很高興能成為Beyond Horizon的其中一員的原因。在這裡，我可以把我對於外國的文化以及語言分享給有需要的學童。同時，我也誠摯的希望我們的付出可以對於學童們有顯著的幫助，讓他們在未來可以有更多的資源去發展自己的長處。最後，很期待可以跟Beyond Horizon的各位合作愉快！
Mia Chen 陳玫亞
Hi, I’m Mia Chen, a senior at Kang Chiao International School Linkou Campus. My volunteering journey began when I transferred from a public to a private school and immediately realized how far behind I was in English compared to peers who had been studying in private schools. Recognizing the advantages I now had, I became determined to help others who lack the resources and opportunities to learn English. In eighth grade, encouraged by my homeroom teacher, I joined Beyond Horizon and began providing weekly English lessons to underprivileged children in rural Taiwan. Since last year, I’ve also served as Beyond Horizon’s secretary. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the impact of our work and actively contribute to supporting and empowering students across Taiwan.
哈囉！我是陳玫亞，來自林口康橋國際學校12年級。從公立小學轉到康橋後，我深刻體會到英語教育資源的差距。這份經歷讓我立志將來要幫助台灣偏鄉學童，為他們提供更多學習英語的機會。在班導師的推薦下，我自八年級起便加入Beyond Horizon擔任志工，目前在瑞峰學堂服務。去年我開始擔任志工團的秘書一職，很高興能持續為團隊盡一份心力。
Ming Hung 洪紹銘
Hello, my name is Ming Hung, and I am currently an 11th-grade student at Wego high school.I joined Beyond Horizon in 10th grade, driven by a growing interest in education and community service. Over the past year, I have participated in teaching grammar and vocabulary to elementary students, which has helped me develop both teaching skills and the ability to build great connections with my students .In my free time, I enjoy reading novels and playing shogi. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of Beyond Horizon and look forward to continuing to contribute and grow with the team.
大家好，我是洪紹銘，目前就讀薇閣私立高級中學11年級。
自10年級起，我因對教育與服務產生濃厚興趣，經由同學介紹加入了 Beyond Horizon 志工團隊。至今已有近一年的服務經驗，主要協助學堂課程中小學生的英文文法與單字教學。這段期間，我不僅提升了自己的教學表達能力，也學習到如何與學童建立信任、耐心引導。
我的興趣包括閱讀小說與將棋，這些愛好也讓我在繁忙學業之餘獲得放鬆與靈感。我很珍惜在 BH 的學習與成長機會，未來希望能持續累積教育相關經驗，並將這份熱忱延續下去
